COMMENCEMENT of TRADING
Trading commenced on the Stock Exchange of Newcastle Limited on Tuesday 5th December 2000 at 10.30 am AEST.
At the commencement of trading there were two listed securities being the
ordinary shares of Pegmont Mines NL (NSXCODE: PMI) and Winpar Holdings Limited (NSXCODE: WPH).
The listing of Pegmont Mines NL was sponsored by Pritchard & Partners Pty. Limited with Winpar Holdings Limited's listing being sponsored by Cameron Stockbrokers Limited.
39,000 shares in Pegmont Mines NL traded on the first day at a 15% premium to their issue price. No trades were recorded in Winpar Holdings Limited.
The Stock Exchange of Newcastle Limited is only the second operational stock exchange in Australia and provides a specialised capital market for the securities of small medium and regionally based enterprises.
NSX PRICE INFORMATION
Price data for each listed company is available from the NSX website on a delayed basis. The delay is 20 minutes. Full trading history is also available from the website for each company.
NSX REGULATORY NEWS SERVICE
The NSX website distributes NSX Company announcements via the Regulatory News Service (RNS). The RNS allows reporting companies to submit their announcements in either Adobe Acrobat PDF format or in Microsoft Word format. The advantage of RNS is that the style, presentation and fully contained information are available to investors to review as reported by the company.
The service provides announcements on a 20 minute delayed basis for free or on a real time basis for free until 30 June 2001. After 30 June 2001 existing subscribers will be given the opportunity to re-subscribe to the real time service. Interested parties wishing to subscribe to the real time RNS can do so by filling out the on line registration form.
