Description of Rule: | Fully paid securities must be free from all liens and from any restriction on the right of transfer on the Exchange except: (a) any statutory restrictions on transfers; and (b) any restrictions on transfers which the Exchange in its absolute discretion agrees to impose on the securities of mutual organisations. |
Waiver Requested: | The applicant, the operator of a buying group, sought a waiver of listing rule 5.11 to enable operation of a closed market in its securities. |
Effect of Waiver: | The Exchange permits granting of the waiver of listing rule 5.11 to Australian United Retailers Limited to enable operation of a closed market in its Class C fully paid redeemable preference securities, restricting transferability to storeowners and others as set out in the applicant's constitution. |
